Good But Be Careful If You Have Long Hair
I've had my total gym for some time now and I like it well enough. I feel like I get a decent workout when I use it but honestly I'm not a gym rat and don't know that much about exercise equipment. I judge it by how I feel after working out as per the instructions and if I can "feel it" the next day or two in my mucles. In that respect, I felt this equipment was getting the job done and also I admire Chuck Norris who to me, seems like a man of integrity who wouldn't put his name to just any piec .... Read more

This Machine is Great!
Does everything as advertised and more. My only complaint is a quality issue and this is why I have not given this Total Gym puechase five stars. During the first work out, one of the plastic wheels chipped and already looks that it may need replacing faily soon especially if it is used everyday, which it is. Also, the foam on the wings immediately started to tear away as I put my tennis shoes on there to exercise. Now only after a few weeks it's already almost worn down to the metal and I d .... service after the sale?
I bought a refurbished Total Gym 2000 from a company called Fitness Quest (which appeared to be the outlet for Total Gyms at the time), through an online auction site. That was 7 or 8 years ago. The seat only said "Total Gym", not "Total Gym 2000", but it looked like the same product. It has served me well over the years. Now it makes a lot of noise when I use it, which is only a problem during the summer when I have the windows open and I don't want to give the neighbors any weird ideas. ( .... Read more

Cheaper than a gym membership with more possibilities!
I've had this machine now going on 2 weeks (I know why are you writing a review you've not seen results yet!) I use to work for Sears in the fitness department and I tried out numerous equipment. This machine has been on my "I want" list for quite sometime even before I got to get on one at work. I was surprised that it was so smooth and that I didn't feel any impact on my joints. I was also surprised that I could -feel- the weight at the higher levels.

unbelievable
The exercise that this machine offers you is tremendous. Once you start your program not only will you lose weight and build muscle it makes your body perform better because of the fluent movement of the exercises. When you get your body and weight where you want, it is easy to develope a maintenance program.
